I am trying to figure out how to determine programmatically that the terracotta client has disconnected and avoid having the client freeze. Any hints woulds be appreciated.
I need to ask if the above answer still holds true today. We may need to partition data for security and data locality reasons. So again...

Can a single Terracotta client connect to two or more Terracotta servers which each contain a different subset of the client's shared heap?
Does a terracotta client have the ability to disconnect and reconnect to the terracotta server? Or a new instance of the terracotta server? Thank you.
