how to handle DBConnection exception and keep the task always work?  XML

when some times i have to stop my mysql databases services but my application is going on,the quartz task will produce the JobPersistenceException that failed to obtain DB connection.i know the quartz have the tolerance mechanism but i do not know what to do.10 minutes or 20 minutes later my database service is normal,but my quartz task some times work well,some times does not work.why?and i how to make the task always work well while my database service occures the exception.
