Hi,
We have an application that works well with Terracotta DSO on Windows XP. but when we try to run the application on Linux(Ubuntu) its not working.
When we look in the console, we find that the roots objects are not properly stored.
Is it to do anything with the operating system, because i have read on ur site that Terracotta is only tested on Redhat.
Kindly respond as soon as possible.
Regards,
Sachin.

Hi Sachin,
We have not tested Terracotta products on Ubuntu Linux. If the same configuration file works on Windows but not on Ubuntu Linux, you can assume that Terracotta DSO does not work on Ubuntu Linux.

Sachin,
Running Ubuntu 6.06 LTS (Dapper Drake) from the Live CD, I am able to run both the Terracotta server and all the included demos from the linux Sessions kit. All root objects are correctly shared.
Can you give me more information about what is failing in your environment, and the configuration file for the application?
Thanks!
