I'm curious how either of you is getting along with Liferay (anson or ncowles)?

I downloaded it last night and have it running with Terracotta.

Because I don't know the internals of Liferay I don't know yet what to cluster. It looks like it uses Spring, Hibernate and OSCache.

If anyone is interested I can post the tc-config.xml file I have so far - but as of yet I don't think it provides any real functionality.

Also, does anyone know of any information or interest in clustering Liferay? I only found this link: http://www.theserverside.com/news/thread.tss?thread_id=31510

I find that link interesting because it mentions OSCache, which is clusterable with Terracotta.

Hi Anson.

When I said "Running" that might have been misleading. I have successfully started the App server with Liferay and Terracotta installed, however I haven't yet been successful in actually clustering Liferay.

I reached out to the Liferay guys (http://www.liferay.com/web/guest/devzone/forums/message_boards/message/25321) and they seem very interested in working with us to produce a solution. I'll keep you posted when I have more details.

Ok, I have put together a first pass at clustering session for Liferay. It works but I didn't test it very thoroughly.

I provided details on the Liferay Wiki page: https://wiki.terracotta.org/confluence/display/wiki/Liferay
