Definitely.
If you download the DSO package, use the welcome application to launch the samples launcher. From the samples launcher you can try all of the samples at the same time - all using a single server.

Just to be clear, my previous post instructed you how to run multiple standalone apps, the same can be done for webapps. Just follow my instructions but download the sessions application.
Using the Welcome Application, with the sessions product, launch the "Configurator". This is an application that comes pre-packaged with two logical tomcat instances, on port 9081 and port 9082. You can start the TC server and the Tomcat instnaces all from this application, and it comes bundled with several demo web apps.
Finally, you can try out your own web app with the configurator, just go to "File | Import web app".
