Removing trigger from XML file does not cancel next fire

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that this is expected behavior. If the XMLSchedulingDataProcessorPlugin is set to do scanning for changes and if a new schedule file is saved that removes a trigger that was in the previous file, the next invocation of that trigger is not cancelled. However, I can't find that documentation now. Yet, I experienced this today. I had to restart my application to get the trigger removed. Can you please comment and/or point me to where this behavior is documented?

The only thing done with the XML file is that it is read, and any triggers found are inserted into the scheduler.

The plugin does not remember what the old version of the file looked like, and hence it does not know what was removed, and hence it cannot know to delete (from the scheduler) the triggers that were removed from the file.
