Quartz connection to factory

Hi,
We are using RMI within our application and we want to setup Quartz to run under a different JVM outside the application. The application only has to create the triggers and within the Quartz JVM we would like to create reports and send them to the customers. We setup using RMI and works fine, but we would like to setup the triggers without going through RMI.

Any ideas would be great.
Thanks,
Joe
