I am trying to gain access to the Tuning Guide and Locking Guide, which say need registration. I have registered and can log in, but know it says I don't have sufficient privilges.

How can I obtain access to these docs?

Thanks,
Pete

Peter,

We upgraded Confluence last night and, let's just say that the new version doesn't seem to be up to Atlassian's usual high standards.

I believe I've fixed the problem with your account. Let me know.

Cheers,

Hi,

I have the same problem.
Following the link
http://www.terracotta.org/confluence/display/docs1/Tuning+Guide
I get the error message
You are not permitted to perform this operation.
This happens using this account (user=rrms), which I created today, because my old account (user=rrudolph) is not recognised any more.

Yours sincerely
R. Rudolph

Hi steve!

I just tried that ...
I still get a very reduced web page with the contents

Home

There seems to be a general problem, not concerning the specific protected doc topic. If I open a new browser tab (Opera), enter www.terracotta.org and click the "Documentation" link in tha navigation area, I get the same error page (see above). I have to explicitly log out to get the navigation working.

Assuming some "cookie garbage effect", I deleted all cookies from www.terracotta.org. The behavior does not change.

Then, I tried MS IE 6.0 as an alternative browser:
(1) login to forum
(2) go to home page
(3) enter http://www.terracotta.org/confluence/display/docs1/Terracotta+Product+Documentation
- hier it works, in contrast to Opera browser
(4) follow link to http://www.terracotta.org/confluence/display/docs1/Tuning+Guide - requires login data again.
(5) after entering login data - the same as above.

It seems to me that, after login, many links are forbidden. Any idea?

Yours sincerely
R. Rudolph

I think I know what's going on here. Confluence inexplicably dumped a bunch of permissions during the upgrade, though I hesitate to use that word.

I think I've fixed the docs. I'll keep poking around until I think everything is back to normal. Thanks for the heads up.
