Hi there,
I'm just wondering if/when there will be a TIM for JBoss 7 released? We are currently using JBoss 4.2.3 and Teracotta 3.1 and are looking to update our deployment infrastructure very soon, so am at this early stage wondering about the feasibility of migrating to a JBoss7 with Terracotta DSO.
Many thanks,
Greg

If you are upgrading I would strongly request you to consider the express version of the product - this will not have any TIM dependencies on the container.

Thanks for your response and whilst express may be an option for us, I fear it will require substantial re-coding to conform to the express model. For example, we would rely on cluster locking and object identity throughout our usage - i.e no additional API's, just simple java synchronisation... and TC performs the magic - A massive benefit to the DSO approach to us and I presume many others.
I know that express provides a locking API, but this is a large step away from the original architectural intents of the Terracotta platform as I understood them.
I'd appreciate it, if you could let me know what if any plans there are for a JBoss 7 TIM and now additionally if terracotta are on a path to de-support DSO usage in containers going forward in favour of the express approach?
Do you guys provide a DSO v's Express comparison matrix? or upgrade guideline documentation?
IMHO its a pretty big ask to suggest an upgrade path that fundamentally means a TC client must recode their application away from what was sold as a massive benefit originally.
Thanks,
Greg
