Hello, Attemping to update from 3.1.1 to tc 3.2.1, on MAC with Java 16_20, get
NoSuchMethodError LinkedBlockingQueue.insert osx_160_20.jar

Seems to be CDV-1472 problem. Perhaps CDV-1472 is fixed for linux but not for MAC?

thanks, Irene
Details follow

I remade dso-boot-hotspot_osx_160_20.jar

CDV-1472 is fixed and does resolve this problem.

Unfortunately that fix is only available in the 3.2.2 releases which is not public. It is available to those with commercial support I believe.

If you can run with a JDK <= 1.6.0_17 you should be okay, or you could try your hand at a trunk nightly build.

Thanks for your prompt reply!

Please confirm :
linux java.16_20 tc3.2.1 broken?
mac OS java1.6_20 tc3.2.1 broken?

Is my only fix getting tc3.2.2? Can I get tc3.2.2 via nightly?

I need linux to satisfy our customer and MAC because most of our developers are on MAC. Can I get tc3.2.2 from a nightly?

Unfortunately reverting to MAC java 1.6_16 is a difficult option technically and not supported by our site policy.

There's no schedule for it yet but you can check out the tag and build it yourself

http://svn.terracotta.org/svn/tc/dso/tags/3.2.2/

After checkout, go to code/base, run command

./tcbuild dist

the kit will be under build/dist

Custom mode dso is not yet supported for jdk 1.6 20 in OSS. It will in 3.3 and 3.2.2+ when they are released.

Ehcache, quartz, sessions and hibernate should all work fine.

Guys - the 'no schedule yet' situation is almost 1 month old...
Would you mind releasing the fix please?

Enterprise users have received a patched version for this issue. An oss release with a fix for this is coming soon. On the order of weeks. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Cheers,
Steve

Thank you! I tried moving my MAC down from 20 to 17... much hassle and java minor version 17 on MAC still fails... now I know I can wait for a fix.
