when using session replication what value should the web-application element contain?
say i have xxx.war deployed under the context /yyy.
what value should I use?
xxx
xxx.war
yyy

AFAIKT, should be xxx. I will reconfirm if you need to do anything special since your context is not the same as your web-application (war) name. You can also use * by the way.

I have used the context name and it works.
is it the way to go? are there any other options?
can i use xxx*?

Looks like you've already discovered this, but the terracotta config is looking for a context path (minus the leading slash).
